Hazardous waste management

The Hazardous Waste Laboratory is part of the ITESM University Environmental Quality Research Center in Mexico. The laboratory sought ISO certification for the analytical process of corrosion, reactivity, explosiveness, toxicity and flammability. ISO certification was necessary for the laboratory to increase its customer portfolio and avoid existing financial problems.

The IC project focuses on: (i) improving laboratory productivity, (ii) obtaining certification, and (iii) identifying and meeting IC needs related to skills development and information management.

The laboratory had 8 full-time employees divided into three organizational levels: one member of the laboratory, five certified analysts with undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and two technical assistants.
